Shift requirements
  • Must be able to work in a three-shift environment (A, B, C), including weekends, based on business needs
  • Shift differential pay is provided
  • A- 7 am-3 pm B- 3 pm-11 pm C- 11 pm-7 am A/B shift rotation every other week
  • A shift one week and B shift the next
  • C shift is required for overtime based on business needs.ESD shoes are required on the first day of the assignment
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive attitude within the Team and Work Center
  • Be responsible for ISO/GMP compliance within the area
  • Follow good manufacturing practices
  • Perform jobs as outlined in job descriptions and job responsibilities
  • Be responsible/accountable for completeness of all duties; this includes all slitting requests, slit width rewinding, and cleaning interleaving paper
  • Maintain the area in a safe and orderly condition
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and follow all instructions
  • Convey concise verbal and written information, and communicate with others as you would like them to communicate with you
  • Support Supervisor and team decisions within the area
  • Be familiar with division Quality Policy
  • Work is occasionally subject to chemistry web dusting
  • Proper handling of dry webs is necessary to prevent skin irritation
  • Yellow lighting is often present, as well as moderate noise levels from the machines and air systems. 
  • Working up to 25% of time in Freezers at 0 degrees F.
  • Work is performed while standing for long periods of time with some walking and moderate pulling and tugging. 
  • There is a lot of light to moderate lifting
  • Keep Supervision informed of problems and changes in the area.
  • Must be able to work A/B rotating shift and potentially C shift in the future. 
  • Manufacturing experience preferred—good attitude, reliability, and ability to train and retain knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Training is expected to be 3 weeks to 6 months
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required (an Associate’s Degree is preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in an operations/manufacturing environment (prefer a regulated industry) is required
  • Slitting experience required
  • Must have basic computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with quality information systems (i.e., SAP) is preferred
  • The ability to read and write in English is required
  • Knowledge and experience with GMP/ISO regulations are preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting of equipment are required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
