Maintenance Technician Mechanical Start 11:30 P.M. – 8:00 A.M. $21 - $24 hourly with benefits Schlumberger Rosharon

The Maintenance Technician Mechanical is a specialized technician who follows a specific

training program and is a member of the maintenance team with the important role of

maintaining the reliability of our equipment. The Maintenance Technician Mechanical is

responsible for doing modifications on corrective and preventive maintenance, to

minimize the failures in electric and mechanical equipment in order to prevent either

lost time or poor quality data by ensuring that their assigned equipment is maintained

as per Segment standards.


Role Overview

  • Assembles, disassembles, maintains, and operates High Pressure / High
  • Temperature (HPHT) test equipment.
  • Develops and conducts tests, measurements, and procedures using knowledge
  • of oilfield practices.
  • Troubleshoots complex processes and operational problems, diagnosing and
  • repairing equipment.
  • Records and analyzes test data and maintain logbook to document results.
  • Modifies and builds components relating to high-pressure equipment.
  • Designs, build or troubleshoots simple test fixtures.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and maintains records for all HPHT test
  • equipment.
  • Conducts training of junior personnel in the setup and use of standard and
  • specialized HPHT equipment.
  • Interfaces with vendors to obtain project supplies in a timely and cost-effective
  • matter.
  • Observes and enforces all safety regulations and wears all required safety
  • equipment.


Other Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with peers,
  • vendors, and other employees.
  • Should be able to work with minimum supervision and exercise a considerable
  • amount of independent judgment.
  • Physical requirements - must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50
  • pounds.


Qualifications

  • Work Authorization: Green Card, US Citizen (Candidates must be able to legally work
  • and reside in the US, without sponsorship).
  • Experience Level:
  • -Minimum 2 years Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical maintenance degree relevant
  • experience will be considered
  • -Minimum 3 years of oilfield maintenance experience.
  • -Specific experience in Wireline and drilling tools is highly preferred
  • -Valid state motor vehicle operator's license
  • -Has initiative and ability to work effectively with little direction and/or few guidelines
  • Travel required: Willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
  • Education: Minimum high school education or equivalent. A degree is preferred
