Founded in 1813, New Albany is located in Southern Indiana, otherwise known as "SoIN," situated along the Ohio River opposite Louisville, Kentucky.
The bright, colorful, picturesque city has a gorgeous view of the Ohio River with stunning bridges, architecture, and an outdoor amphitheater. Today, New Albany is home to over 36,000 people and to the traditional alcoholic beverages company, Sazerac.
Sazerac, one of America's oldest family owned, privately held distillers, purchased the old inoperative Pillsbury Plant in New Albany in 2018. In 2020, the company met its 110-employee commitment one full year ahead of schedule, and announced its first expansion at the site, bringing the plant’s capacity to 10 bottling lines through a $40 million investment. In 2021, the company announced plans to invest another $50 million and hire 50 additional workers to expand its distilling and bottling operations in New Albany. They currently employ 150 people, and the additional staff will be added over the next three years.
The company strives to be the industry’s “most desired place to be”, offering employees the opportunity to reach their full potential as part of a creative, decisive, high performance team that takes a great deal of pride in providing consumers with the best spirit brands the market has to offer.
